O ne of the most important elements of the addiction recovery program at Serenity Life Planning is the fact that we make dual diagnosis mental health treatment available to every client who needs it -- which is roughly half of our clients. This is because there is a high coincidence of clients who are struggling with addiction and clients who are struggling with a co-occurring mental health disorder.
You might not realize it, but almost half of Americans who are struggling with addiction are also struggling with a co-occurring mental health disorder. Fortunately, by utilizing dual diagnosis mental health treatment Serenity Life Planning is able to provide each client with the best possible care, affording them a better chance of reaching their recovery goal.
However, even if you aren’t struggling with a co-occurring mental health disorder -- and recall that a significant portion of those who do suffer from a co-occurring mental health disorder are not aware that they are dealing with it -- Serenity Life Planning has a plethora of treatment options which we offer to our clients. The bottom line is that our substance abuse treatment facility is concerned only with getting our clients the best and most effective treatment possible. We want all of our clients to reach their recovery goals, and we’ll do what’s necessary to ensure that we accomplish that goal.
At Serenity Life Planning, we provide our clients with a full spectrum of therapeutic options. This means that we offer a variety of different therapeutic strategies, including individual therapy, group therapy, and family therapy. During group therapy, you meet with your peers in our addiction recovery center to discuss your situation, and to listen to the experiences of others. You’ll be surprised how enriching the experience of sharing can prove to be. Many clients are initially apprehensive about taking part in group therapy sessions, but before long, group therapy becomes a favorite element of treatment for many of our clients. Furthermore, many of our clients find that these group sessions provide them with the foundation for a sober support network that will last long after they have graduated from our program at Serenity Life Planning.
In addition to group therapy, clients also take part in individual therapy sessions. These sessions involve meeting with a counsellor on a one-on-one basis in a confidential and secure environment. During these sessions, you can feel free to open up about anything you want to talk about, whether it is related to your addiction, your recovery, or your history. Finally, family therapy sessions allow the members of a client’s family to come take part in recovery. At Serenity Life Planning, we know that addiction doesn’t just affect our clients, it also affects their families. In order to foster recovery across the board, we invite family members of clients to take part in the recovery process, and being healing themselves, as well.
